Golden Sands:
The resort of Golden Sands is the largest one on the Northern Black Sea coast (more than 1800 hectares). It is situated 19 km north-east of Varna, 490 km east of Sofia. North of the resort is the village of Kranevo and south is Chaika holiday village. Golden Sands merges with the St. St. Konstantin and Elena Resort and Riviera resort. The area is famous for the purest sand on the Black Sea coast. In Turkish times it was called Ouzounkoum - the long sands.

Albena is a Blue Flag winning resort, located in a picturesque and ecologically clean gulf on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, famous for its flower gardens, close to Varna international airport (30 km). Dyuni is a modern, comfortable and attractive Holiday Village located 40 km south of the city of Bourgas and 7 km south of Sozopol, situated around a large bay right on the shore sand beach dotted with dunes, clean and safe sea 250 sunny days a year. Kavarna is a small port town which has a broad outlet on the Black Sea to the Eastern and Southern sides. The coast is varied and there are cliffs combined with beaches and abrasive formations such as caves, fissures, etc. The area lacks surface running water and irrigation is most valuable. There is a steep cape called Kaliakra near the town, famous for the romantic legend about forty maidens committing suicide in the name of Christianity. It is also famous for the caves - once the habitat of the extremely rare Black Sea monk seal.
Kavarna is one of the ancient towns on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. First it was situated nearer to the sea but after an eartquake in I c. B.C. the old town Byzone has been partly drowned into the sea and later, in Roman times, it was rebuilt at a new place, 3 km inland. During the times of the First and Second Bulgarian Kingdom it was the administrative centre of Dobrudja.

St. Constantine and Elena
St. Constantine and Elena is the oldest resort along the Bulgarian black sea coast. It was founded in 1908 as a balneology center. It was first visited by Czech, Poles and Germans. Its popularity is due to the unique combination of mountain crystal clear air, mineral springs and the sea. The resort offers numerous mineral springs, balneology complexes, open- air pool with hot mineral water famous for its healing quality.

Main cities with airports on the Black sea:
A district town, situated on Varna Bay on the Black Sea, 469 km north-east of Sofia; a seaside resort. Population of over 350 000. Third in population after Sofia and Plovdiv, called the seaside capital of Bulgaria. Terminal station on the railway lines Sofia-Varna and Rouse-Varna, a sea port, an international airport, second in traffic after Sofia.

Bourgas is the fourth largest city in Bulgaria, situated in the south-eastern part of the country. The climate here is temperately continental with a distinct impact from the Black Sea. The town is an industrial centre too. It's not famous as a beach resort (although few beaches you can find), but more as a turning point to the big southern Black Sea resorts in Bulgaria like Sunny Beach, Nessebar, Sozopol, Dyuni, Elenite, etc. The Airport of Bourgas is the one where the international flights land in the summer.
